The National Women’s League will continue this weekend with Northern Zone leaders – Ampem Darkoa - looking to end their two game winless run following back to back ties with their fierce rivals – Fabulous Ladies - as they take on a solid second placed Kumasi Academy side on the road.
KSA who are unbeaten at home thus far opened the second half of the season with an impressive 2-1 away win against Lepo Ladies to draw a point closer to the summit held by their guests. With the top spot on the line, and the desire to avenge their first round 2nil loss to their guests, Ampem Darkoa will likely find themselves hard-pressed to reel in their first win of the second round. Good thing for Ampem Darkoa is that they have been very resilient on the road and just might be able to salvage a point. Third placed Fabulous Ladies will have the chance to grab their first win of the second round as they take on a very beatable Lepo Ladies side that has struggled mightily away from home and are yet to pick up a point from their toils on the road. Looks like the 3points is Fabulous Ladies’ to lose.
Elsewhere, Northern Ladies who have managed just one win at home this season will have to work extra hard to have a shot at the 3points as they welcome Ashtown Ladies. And winless Real Upper Ladies will likely feel undermanned as they take on Prison Ladies away from home. Looks like the 3points is Prisons Ladies’ to lose.

In the Southern Zone, fast fading three-time NWL Champions - Hasaacas Ladies – will be on the hunt for just their second win of the season as they roll out the welcome mat for a Police Ladies side that has picked up their game and can stun them at home. With the last but one spot on 7points, Hasaacas Ladies must surely be feeling the pressure and the need to win this weekend to start turning their season around. Leaders, Sea Lions, will have the chance to tighten their grip on the top spot but they will have to do it on the road against a beatable Samaria Ladies side that has won just once at home thus far.
Elsewhere, Lady Strikers will have the chance to improve their lot as they host second placed Immigration Ladies who can give them some serious problems at home, and Soccer Intellectuals will have the chance to improve their tally as guests of Holy Royals who remain winless after seven games.
