President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo — Can he achieve more with less?

It is entirely plausible to argue that when within 15 months in office, you have settled GH¢1 billion of legacy debt owed to the critical National Health Insurance Scheme, stabilised the currency and power supply (tariffs further reduced), initiated free senior high school education and are firing up what will be one of the fastest-growing economies in the world, against all odds, then employing 998 jobsworths, with 706 civil servants and 292 others at the Office of the President, is money well spent.

As a country, since the birth of the Fourth Republic, we have specialised in chaos. If gold rusts, what will iron do? Any wonder that our streets, lorry parks and our markets are so chaotic!

What did Haruna tell the President?

Would the President grant audience to the Minority Leader without the presence of his minister of parliamentary affairs? So, was Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu at this week’s meeting between Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Mr Haruna Iddrisu, the Minority Leader in Parliament.

We may have bashed the MP-Ministers who took the double pay. I did too and they deserved it for their gross dishonesty.
