    • I admire the guy below. How many of us put our money where our mouth is?

Award-winning Ghanaian journalist, communications expert and social entrepreneur, David Amofo, says he admires Mr. Marricke Kofi Gane’s independent candidacy bid for the highest office in the land.

    • If any government were to take entrepreneurship seriously, I would have expected these few things to be in place by now:

It's a sad sight that in Ghana, persons who strive to break free from the rat race and become entrepreneurs are not consciously supported to do well. It is obvious Government does not understand that Entrepreneurs are the CORE backbone to economic sovereignty not the export of Gold, Oil, or Cocoa by the state. To a large extent we have had Governments (other than Kuffuor's to a limited extent) who are focused on being in business rather than creating an environment for businesses to flourish.

    • We are not practicing Christianity when people are taught faith is all about praying, lazily folding our arms and waiting on God to do His miracle - even those we claim brought us the Holy Bible still have industries and Citizens working 24/7;

For the volume of ancient manuscripts I have paid money to read, for the secrets of the Rosicrucians, Masons and Brotherhoods I have known, for the frightening depths of modern and future sciences I have luckily been privy to - it would have been easy to start believing there was no God. But I have only known him more.

  • According to figures and definitions being shared across Ghanaian media platforms, the Ghana Statistical Service, the Ghana Habitat for Humanity findings, UN-Habitat Factsheet 21, UN-OHCHR, research publications by Ghanaian and non-Ghanaian academics, we have a pervasive homeless and housing problem in Ghana that has been a ticking time-bomb since the early 2000s.

    • But it does not end there. Here is why: After the Expose, BBC carried the news – it reached far. The following day, TRANSPARENCY INTERNATIONAL emailed it to its subscribers (I subscribe to it) – it means its gone viral in the circles of serious business people. But there’s more...

I was asked the other day on what I thought the impact was likely to be of the Anas #12 expose (#12) on INVESTOR CONFIDENCE.

    Here are my views:

    • Also caught up in the demolition exercise are the office buildings of the Scholarship Secretariat and Passport Office at Ridge.

Aspiring presidential candidate, Marricke Kofi Gane, has lashed out at the ruling NPP government’s decision to demolish several buildings at Ridge, a quasi-residential and office area in the nation’s capital, Accra, to pave the way towards the construction of a National Cathedral.

    • “Sadly, I have been informed that the "SCHOOL AUTHORITIES" do not find the topic conducive, and as such, the Lecture has been cancelled. In my opinion - Conducive is Politically aligned.”

Authorities at the University of Education Winneba (UEW) have terminated a scheduled speaking invitation handed to Mr. Marricke K. Gane by the Department of Political Science Education and the Centre For Conflicts Human Rights and Peace Studies team at the University.

    • From my video yesterday, I hear what many are saying loud and clear and you are all right - " that 70% of Ghanaians live in Poverty and will suffer no electricity and water and that their hand-to-mouth economy cannot support them in a Lockdown.

A MOMO Agent saw me today and exclaimed in Twi "Eheeeh Bra Panyin, yesi Yari3 be abaa, 3y3 ampaa?" (To wit - "big brother, I hear there's a new disease in town, is it true?). I had to spend time educating her in my mask. There are many like her!

    • “Your Excellency, I believe we are at that point and there is the need now to exercise that decisive courage”

Independent presidential candidate, Mr. Marricke Kofi Gane, has called on the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government to put the country in lockdown following the rising number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the country as well as in neighboring countries such as Burkina Faso, Togo, Nigeria, and Ivory Coast.

    • I knew then, what many would say, but I needed to do it. I knew the insults to come, the sleaze, the doubtful castings. There was ...

It was a Thursday night in October. I lay on a bed in the little town of Heidelberg, Germany. The room felt heavy, almost as though the thoughts in my head were leaving my mind and filling up the room. Six months earlier, my heart and mind had started forming around the decision whether to go into politics at this level - a process which started all the way in 2015. Back then, I left if at culminating my thoughts into a treatise I titled, "The Marricke Gane Chronicles". I said to myself, at least that's enough. Some folks will take it and find some use for it. Now, it was different - it was taking on flesh.

    • The Accountant General faltered by gross negligence in ensuring functional internal controls were operating and the question MUST now be asked if it was deliberate or not. The MP-Ministers faltered by displaying gross dishonesty.

We may have bashed the MP-Ministers who took the double pay. I did too and they deserved it for their gross dishonesty.

    • Well, let me put it this way – it is not enough if I wish to stand – the people must also want me to stand, after all, they will be the ones to vote for me. What I can say however is this - if I do make an announcement to stand in 2020, it will be because the people believe in me. Do I believe I am ready myself?

Marricke Kofi Gane is a chartered accountant by profession, a corporate coach, and an International Development expert, with experience managing several aid funds for European governments in over 30 countries.

    • AA: Like any armchair football coach, the armchair politician’s task is always the easiest; it becomes a different story when the reality hits him in office. What is your take on that?

Marricke Kofi Gane is a chartered accountant by profession, a corporate coach, and an International Development expert, with experience managing several aid funds for European governments in over 30 countries.

  • In light of his active Social Media activity and forthcoming book launch scheduled for 13th November, 2015 at the Botsio Hall of Ghana's famous Alisa Hotel at 5:30pm, Immortal Boa-Ansah engaged the highly esteemed author - Marricke Kofi Gane formerly Charles Kofi Fekpe who has 10 published books to his credit in a brief interview to learn more about him and hopefully afford his audience an opportunity to get to know him just a tad bit better before the Book Launch.

    • Regrettably, we cannot find any integrity or transparency in a process or body that willingly sets aside agreed criteria and voting results that the ...

    • Ghana: 2020 Independent Presidential Candidate Marricke K. Gana Speaks On Coronavirus (Covid-19) Threat
    • Did you see the common trend in all the above? - No value adding capability - technical and capital.

We produce cocoa! No, we produce "premium" cocoa - of the quality global buyers will normally pay extra for. But we add no much value to it, so the market mainly determines how much they pay for it.

    • Well, sad to say - some companies, far from being a safe conduit, are actually out to steal your money, kill your investment and destroy your dreams.

Whether as part of a lifetime investment, a mix of a temporary savings portfolio or securing a peaceful house to make a home, we all at some point have thought about buying a piece of LAND.

    • In my view……. Nobody gives a bloody Hoot! Does earthquake get Votes?

Yesternight I met with a good friend of mine after 20 or so years when we last saw each other in Keta Secondary School. I made a few more rounds, got home, readied for bed, then GGGGRRRR! The Earth Tremor started. At least I knew I wasn’t dreaming.

    • He identified proceedings at MenzGold, and the second tier of our financial sector, Savings and Loans, as troubling and needing to be dealt with decisively.

A chartered accountant and a development consultant, Marricke Kofi Gane, has charged regulatory authorities in the financial industry to rein in operators in the sector to forestall worsening the already dire straits the sector finds itself.

    • He added that Ghanaians should not pretend leadership is unaware of the illegal mining activities, that they are not part of the ongoing activities, and that they are working on resolving the issue.

Marricke Kofi Gane has taken a veiled shot at the complicit involvement of authorities in ongoing illegal mining activities at Mokyekrom in the Western North region of the country.

    • “From Today, we must all see ourselves as the last defenders against the Coronavirus, and Act accordingly”

Independent presidential candidate, Mr. Marricke Kofi Gane, has called on the government to show leadership in the fight against the looming threat posed by the possible spread of coronavirus (Covid-19) within the country.

    • Mr President, there are Mothers involved here - and they each have a heart. In case your people are not telling you sir, some questions Ghanaians are asking include:

Independent Presidential candidate, Mr. Marricke Kofi Gane, has called for the firing of COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah for having failed to provide the location of three missing girls from Takoradi in the Western Region.

    • Generational nation-building requires that every era, leaves behind a Ghana better than they came to meet it. It guarantees that each generation starts from a foundation stronger and greater than their fathers.

    Dear Ghanaians,
No other generation in the history of our beloved Ghana, has been more crucially burdened than our generation. We are the only generation serving as a bridge – a bridge between the dreams our forefathers left unfulfilled and the hopes of posterity yet unborn.

    • This is not a matter of Ghana being ready for an Independent Presidential Candidate. What does that readiness even look like? The real question is, "are you ready for your life to get better than it has been the last 28 years? Are you ready to make ...

Independent presidential candidate Marricke K. Gane says he continues to press on for the highest office in the land as the December 2020 General Elections draws closer.

    • We need a new order, we need to embrace a new way of doing things – I am that new way, I am Marricke Kofi Gane.

Aspiring 2020 general election presidential-hopeful candidate, Mr. Marricke K. Gane, has promised an announcement on his political future before the second quarter of the year.

    • No One was born, with NDC or NPP in their blood. We were ALL born with Ghana in our Blood. NPP and NDC will come and Go. If Ghana goes well, it does for us all.

    Dear NDC and NPP sympathisers,

No, I mean those who followed these parties because they USED to stand for an ideal they hoped would make Ghana better for ALL OF US. Yes, you are the one I am writing to.

    • So, Dear leaders of our village - now that we the citizens have proven to you that we are capable of listing all your areas of equalizations - can you stop wasting time on them and get back to doing serious work?

Mr. Marricke K. Gane has tagged the two dominant political parties in Ghana as the Equalization People’s Party (EPP) due to the penchant of their supporters to equalize and justify whatever the other party does, based on historical activities of when the other was in power.

    • Marricke Kofi Gane's message to Ghanaians is simple - "I am here to put Ghana first, because GHANA deserves better! Because YOU deserve better! Because WE deserve better."

Mr. Marricke Kofi Gane, an International Development Expert and Accountant by profession has made public his intention to contest for the country’s presidency in the upcoming 2020 General Elections.

    • Instead of government releasing all funds to farmers, he believes government must be deliberate and a bit more visionary in improving the agricultural value chain

An increasingly anticipated presidential hopeful, Marricke Kofi Gane, in a Facebook post has commended government for attempting to establish a dedicated GHS 500 million fund to address the challenges confronting the agricultural sector.

    • On his youthfulness for the position, he posited that if after 60 plus years of independence, the older generation, who have been in charge of running the country’s affairs, are yet to catapult the country to the Promised Land,...

International development expert and chartered accountant, Mr. Marricke K. Gane, says he is pondering a run for the highest and toughest job in the land.

  • Popular number-cruncher cum one-man self-appointed political watchdog or perhaps watchcat, by virtue of his Voltarian roots, Mr. Marricke Kofi Gane, has unleashed his ire on an apparent political foot soldier, who took to his inbox with threats, the full specifics of which he has for now chosen to keep in the private of his Facebook compound yard.

    • In the midst of it all, we must accept, that this is another rare opportunity to ready ourselves for future threats - because there will be future threats. Going forward as a country, we must:

    Fellow Ghanaians,

I sincerely wished today was an opportunity to talk about something more joyous. It isn't. Nevertheless, we must constantly confront our realities and find pragmatic ways of moving forward.

  • I am all for a free SHS no doubt. In my view, any and every government should be aiming to ensure that even those we call "illiterates" have at least an SHS education - it should become the minimum exit point from our educational system.

    • “I wouldn’t be doing this if I wasn’t ready, and the youth are ready, so we are doing this.” - Marricke K. Gane

Independent Presidential aspirant, Marricke Kofi Gane, has stated that his 2020 bid for the highest office in the land is on and that it is not a futuristic notion.

    • In the circumstances, please MoH, “make SOME payments” owed to Health Service Providers. It is no use entrusting our health to MoH when MoH is being quarantined by Service Providers for unpaid arrears.

It is with concern I write openly. The world is in a tough place health-wise and our collective safety can only be secured by us unifying. With 80,348 infections worldwide, our closest brush was 20+ suspect cases in Ghana, we’re told tested negative. We're still concerned:

    • As usual, committees etc. will run etc. and end and blah blah blah. But at the beginning and end of all these occurrences is - QUALITY OF OUR HUMAN ASSETS, DUTY OF CARE AND PROFESSIONALISM

A lot of outrage has poured out, a lot of institutions have poured statements of condemnation, investigative committees have been set up (as usual), many opinions have poured out, the matter dissected from different angles, donations made to victim etc....... All in REACTION to the customer by the name of Patience Osafo who was caught on video being assaulted by a police officer stationed at a bank. REACTION is the word, not response.

    • I don't think it is a necessarily bad idea if it is thought out well. Whether the idea is to get the government to set up these private factories or the NPP government decides to set them up themselves,...

Okay. So, the first time I heard about the NPP's Nana indicating they want to build factories in every districtwas I believe yesterday on Joy FM and I even tweeted (@marrickegane) about it when I believe Akomea indicated that "they will know the cost of the projects as soon as the feasibilities were known. I immediately HIT back to say NO NO NO Sir, you need to have costed your projects instead to determine their funding, operational and sustainability viability - not the other way round. At that point I quickly made a mental note - where then lies the comparative relevancy in questioning Mahama's Komenda factory without the raw materials - it’s also the other way round right???

    • "This is how you support the entrenchment of the Status Quo even when it obviously isn't working. Ayeekooo!! No vision to elevate the stakes, No,recognition of the power of social influence as a change mechanism!!

Independent Presidential Aspirant, Marricke Kofi Gane, yesterday took to his Facebook and Twitter handles to vent his disappointment at Joy News for sublimely promoting the political interest of NPP and NDC to the detriment of the larger political ecosystem and country.

    • The systems didn't get us here - we got here because people in positions of control have overridden internal controls and laws, little at first, then a little bit more, ...

Throughout the proceedings of the Ayawaso West Wuogon (AWW) Commission of Enquiry hearings, a few things have struck me, some of which I do not doubt resonates with many friends and foes on here:

  • I know my well-knowledged Economics friends would and could expand all I am about to say, with technical jargons, with graphs, with data etc etc. But what good is it if we all cannot understand and push it through together as a people.

    • The REAL SUBSTANCE of the December 17th referendum is that Ghanaians are being asked to judge whether or not we are happy with what political parties have achieved ...

There are 16 regions in Ghana. These are divided into districts and these districts can be called Metropolis, Municipals or Districts (MMD), depending on their population size. Each of these Districts are governed by a "DISTRICT ASSEMBLY," made up of:

    • In the current book I am working on, I chanced on an unusual man, a Nigerian. He was doing well in Naija but came over to the UK for, as we all say “to school and go back” or in some cases “to seek greener pastures.”

It’s only a matter of time – almost everyone in the Diaspora comes to that point. It’s the point you start thinking, is it still worth living in this cold? Truth is most people won’t voice it out, it's a silent conversation people usually have with themselves and soon after that, follows another mental battle to either defeat the thought and justify why one must remain in the Western cold or oppose it and find reasons why one must return back to his/her motherland.

    • The first borehole is almost completed and for now, it continues to receive finishing touches, after which it will be handed over to the community for use.

The Tolon Borehole project received a significant boost this past month following the donation of a fully funded borehole to the community by Hon. Roni Nicol.

    • Instead of complaining about politicians, he has decided to be one and try to make a difference.

Last week, there was quite a stir on social media over an announcement by Mr Marricke Gane, a chartered accountant, that he intended to run in the 2020 presidential election as an independent candidate.

    • We spend millions to make laws - laws that are never implemented, because those in charge think of a better tomorrow for their political parties than they do for a better Ghana.

Written By Richard Hanson - Many years ago, a group of great men decided to build a huge formidable castle for their town. Only one of them eventually emerged the chief and sole architect of this great project - the others, well...

    • Two out of the three arguments raised by the NPP are in themselves no self-sustaining justifications for the formation of a new region.

According to NPP's Nana Akufo-Addo, creating the “Western-North” region is necessary because: (a) it holds a significant proportion of Ghana’s natural resources (b) the new region will ensure more equitable development of the region and (c) it will address the unwieldy size of the Western region.

    • "No matter the Internal wranglings we all have with Ghana's EC, this, for a party who wants power is a Disgraceful Appreciation of Human Rights Issues globally, ...."

Independent Presidential Aspirant Marricke Kofi Gane has said the National Democratic Congress Party is a disgrace when it comes to their appreciation of Human Rights Issues, Diplomacy and Black History.

  • Dear Otiko Afisa Djaba and Gifty Twum-Ampofo,

I have no doubt in my mind, that by now, news has reached you of the sad incident of a 4-year old rape in Assin Adadientem. By the way it's about a week now since its occurrence.
