On Super Sunday, Chelsea kept pace with the PL leading pack as they moved up to the fourth spot – just a point behind the three-way tie for the summit led by Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool following an impressive 2-0 win at Southampton, and Everton ended their 5 game winless run with a scrappy 2-0 win over West Ham who remain close to the relegation zone.

On Monday Night Football, Ivorian striker – Wilfried Bony – rediscovered his scoring boots as his two goals helped power Stoke past his old club – Swansea – who remain winless in their last 9 games.

Monday

Stoke City 3-1 Swansea City

Stoke claimed a third successive Premier League victory as they overcame a Swansea side still without a win since the opening day of the season.

Former Swans striker Wilfried Bony scored his first goal for Stoke before Wayne Routledge headed the visitors level in a frenetic first half in which the hosts hit the post three times.

The volume of Stoke chances eventually told as visiting defender Alfie Mawson turned Ramadan Sobhi's shot into his own net, and Bony then nodded in a third after Joe Allen's shot was saved.

Mark Hughes' side are now 12th in the table while Swansea, despite some initial signs of improvement, remain second from bottom and five points from safety.

Everton 2-0 West Ham

Everton ended a sequence of five matches without a win with a scrappy victory against a West Ham side who remain close to the relegation zone.

Romelu Lukaku put Everton ahead, heading home from close range for his seventh Premier League goal against the Hammers.

Everton improved as the match progressed and Ross Barkley, under scrutiny this season for some inconsistent performances, capped a fine display with a half-volley that secured the points for the hosts.

West Ham, who had been unbeaten in October, had chances and were the better side in the first half but were left to rue Angelo Ogbonna's miss, which could have given the visitors the lead.

Southampton 0-2 Chelsea

Chelsea made it four Premier League wins in a row and moved to within one point of the top spot with a 2-0 win over Southampton at St Mary's on Super Sunday.

Eden Hazard netted for the third league game in succession before Diego Costa curled home a sumptuous second to end Southampton's eight-month unbeaten run at home.

Hazard has now scored more goals (5) in this Premier League season than the last campaign (4), while Costa is now the leading goal scorer in the league with eight goals.

Since being dispatched 3-0 by Arsenal and switching to a back three, Chelsea have taken maximum points and kept four consecutive clean sheets.

The victory moves Antonio Conte's men into fourth place on 22 points, just one point off Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool, who are all level on 23.

Stoke City vs Swansea City

Sunderland 1-4 Arsenal

Alexis Sanchez put the Gunners ahead when he got in front of defender Lamine Kone to head in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's cross.

Sunderland 1-4 Arsenal

The dominant visitors had a strong penalty appeal turned down after Sanchez looked to have been brought down before Jermain Defoe equalised from the spot after keeper Petr Cech had fouled Duncan Watmore.

However, Arsenal reasserted their authority and lead with three goals in six minutes and 20 seconds.

Olivier Giroud came off the bench to guide in a shot and then headed in a Mesut Ozil corner, while Sanchez's close range effort was the signal for the home fans to start streaming out of the Stadium of Light.

The win moved Arsenal top of the Premier League - but Manchester City's victory over West Brom later in the day knocked them off the summit.

West Brom 0-4 Manchester City

City and boss Guardiola ended their 6 game winless streak in all competitions. Sergio Aguero flashed in Ilkay Gundogan's through ball to give them the lead. The Baggies were flat and Aguero struck again, punishing hesitant defending with a powerful, top-corner finish.

West Brom 0-4 Manchester City

West Brom improved hugely after the break but failed to take their chances before Gundogan twice slotted home - first from Aguero's chip and then after being found by Kevin de Bruyne.

City leapfrogged Arsenal who were 4-1 winners at Sunderland for the top spot with 10 matches into the season.

Tottenham 1-1 Leicester City

Tottenham's stuttering Premier League form continued as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Leicester on Saturday.

Vincent Janssen gave Spurs the lead with his first league goal, converting from the penalty spot in the 44th minute after he had been fouled by Robert Huth.

But Ahmed Musa equalised shortly after half-time as the Foxes claimed their first away point of the season, frustrating once again the side they pipped to the title last term.

Spurs remain a meagre 3points off the top with Leicester a whopping 11points off.

Crystal Palace 2-4 Liverpool

Slick Liverpool kept pace at the top of the Premier League with a thrilling 4-2 victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday evening.

Southampton 2-4 Liverpool

Five of the goals came during a pulsating first half at Selhurst Park, with Emre Can opening the scoring (16) before James McArthur levelled the match within two minutes.

Dejan Lovren headed the Reds back in front four minutes later before midfielder McArthur added his second, heading home just after the half-hour mark.

Joel Matip headed home his first Liverpool goal in the 44th minute and Roberto Firmino added the fourth in the second half to see the visitors go 11 games unbeaten in all competitions.

Crystal Palace have now lost their last three games in the Premier League and remain in 12th place while Liverpool move level on points with Arsenal and Manchester City at the top of the table, Jurgen Klopp's side third only on goal difference.

Watford 1-0 Hull City

Hull suffered a sixth straight loss in the Premier League as a late Michael Dawson own goal handed Watford a 1-0 victory on Saturday.

It was a cruel loss for Hull, who rarely shone in attack, but had looked resolute in defence before Dawson inadvertently turned the ball into his own net in the 82nd minute.

Watford attacked in waves down the right through Nordin Amrabat, but it was the returning Daryl Janmaat who sent in the cross which led to the winner.

Victory means Watford have picked up eight points in their last four league games, while Hull remain in the relegation zone.

Manchester United 0-0 Burnley FC

Jose Mourinho was sent to the stands and Ander Herrera saw red as Manchester United were held to a goalless draw by a Tom Heaton-inspired Burnley at Old Trafford. United had 37 shots on goal, but found Heaton in impenetrable form as he made 11 saves.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the chief profligate for United, missing at least three gilt-edged chances from 12 shots at goal, meaning he has now gone six league games without scoring for the first time since December 2007 with Inter Milan.

United's frustration boiled over as Mourinho was sent to the stand at half time for his angry reaction to United not being awarded a penalty for a tackle on Matteo Darmian, while referee Mark Clattenberg also dismissed Herrera midway through the second half for two bookings.

Mourinho's men are now without a Premier League win in four matches and are eight points off the top spot.

Middlesbrough 2-0 Bournemouth

A brilliant solo goal from Gaston Ramirez helped Middlesbrough to a first win in eight Premier League games as they beat Bournemouth at the Riverside Stadium.

Ramirez blocked a shot and picked up the loose ball in his own half before he ended a storming run into the Bournemouth penalty area by cutting inside Andrew Surman and side-footing home.

Stewart Downing added Middlesbrough's second from close range after Alvaro Negredo nodded Adam Traore's cross to the far post.

Liverpool extended their unbeaten run to 12 on Sunday by thumping Watford 6-1 at Anfield to go top of the PL for the first time under Jurgen Klopp, Tottenham Spurs maintained their unbeaten start to the PL, courtesy of Harry Kane’s equalizer that earned them a point at Arsenal, and Manchester Utd ended their four game winless run in the PL, making light work of a feeble Swansea side in a 3-1 win.

Also on Sunday, West Brom stunned defending PL Champions – Leicester by two goals to one at the King Power Stadium, and Hull City came from a goal down for a 2-1 win over Southampton at the KCOM Stadium.

Arsenal 1-1 Tottenham Spurs

Arsenal 1-1 Tottenham

Harry Kane returned from injury to earn Tottenham a 1-1 draw against Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.

After Theo Walcott had hit the post with a superb effort, Arsenal took the lead through Kevin Wimmer's own goal just before the break, the defender heading past Hugo Lloris from Mesut Ozil's cross.

Back in the side after a seven-week absence, Kane's penalty levelled it up for Spurs after the break, following Laurent Koscielny's foul on Mousa Dembele.

The result means Tottenham are still the only unbeaten side left in the Premier League, but stay three points behind Arsenal.

Hull City 2-1 Southampton

Robert Snodgrass inspired Hull City to victory against Southampton as Mike Phelan earned his first three points since being appointed permanent head coach.

Charlie Austin's sixth-minute penalty appeared to have Saints in control, with Hull offering little in the way of an attacking threat but the mood inside the KCOM Stadium was transformed in the space of two second-half minutes.

First, Snodgrass - introduced from the bench for the stricken Keane - swept home his fourth league goal of the season from Sam Clucas' low cross before the Scotland international delivered an inviting free-kick that Michael Dawson headed past Fraser Forster.

Southampton pushed for an equalizer but David Marshall made a string of saves in the Hull goal before Clucas produced a remarkable goal line clearance from a corner in the final minute of added time.

The win - Hull's first in the league since 20 August - ends a six-game losing streak, although they remain inside the bottom three heading into the international break.

Liverpool 6-1 Watford

Liverpool went top of the Premier League for the first time under manager Jurgen Klopp with an emphatic victory over Watford at Anfield.

The Reds were rampant in front of their own fans and broke the deadlock after a series of near misses in the 27th minute when Sadio Mane headed home.

Philippe Coutinho doubled the hosts' lead moments later before Emre Can made it 3-0 shortly before half-time.

After the break, Roberto Firmino tapped home the fourth in the 57th minute and Mane netted his second on the hour-mark before Daryl Janmaat pulled one back for Watford with 15 minutes to play.

But Georginio Wijnaldum rounded off a sublime performance from Liverpool on the stroke of full-time to fire the Reds top of the table heading into the international break.

Swansea City 1-3 Manchester United

Swansea 1-3 Man Utd

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba scored as Manchester United ended their goal drought as well as their 4 game winless slide with a 3-1 victory over Swansea City.

United dominated from the start and were 3-0 up at half-time thanks to Paul Pogba's stunning drive and two goals for Zlatan Ibrahimovic - his first in the league since September.

Mike van der Hoorn headed in for Swansea midway through the second half but there was no real danger for the visitors, whose manager Jose Mourinho watched from the stand because of a touchline ban.

United climb up to sixth in the table, while a 10th Premier League match without victory means Swansea remain second from bottom.

Leicester City 1-2 West Bromwich Albion

Winger Matt Phillips punished a horrendous error by midfielder Danny Drinkwater to score the winner for West Brom at champions Leicester.

Two goals in three second-half minutes livened up what had been a dull encounter at the King Power Stadium.

The Baggies scored first when midfielder James Morrison, making his first league start since January, headed in from Phillips' brilliant right-wing cross.

Moments later Riyad Mahrez, on Leicester's right, provided a similarly accurate delivery for £29m club-record signing Islam Slimani to nod in his fourth goal since joining the Foxes in the summer.

But with 18 minutes remaining Phillips pounced on the ball after Drinkwater miscontrolled, and strode forward before dinking his shot past keeper Ron-Robert Zieler.

Bournemouth 1-2 Sunderland

Ten-man Sunderland ended their winless start to the Premier League season with a dramatic 2-1 win at Bournemouth.

With David Moyes serving a one-game touchline ban, Sunderland fell behind to Dan Gosling's goal but Victor Anichebe levelled things up, scoring his first league goal in 546 days.

Things looked bleak for under-pressure Moyes with 30 minutes remaining when Steven Pienaar was shown a second yellow card but Jermain Defoe scored from the penalty spot on 74 minutes.

Bournemouth threw everything at the visitors in the closing stages, but goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and his back four stood strong to give the North East club a huge victory.

Burnley 3-2 Crystal Palace

Ashley Barnes hit a stunning last-minute winner as Burnley climbed into the top half of the Premier League with a pulsating victory over Crystal Palace at Turf Moor.

The hosts went in front inside 90 seconds through Sam Vokes and doubled their lead when Johann Berg Gudmundsson drilled home, although goalkeeper Steve Mandanda should have done better.

Palace pulled one back when Connor Wickham scored with his first touch after coming off the bench, and levelled on 81 minutes when Matt Lowton blocked Andros Townsend's cross with his hand and Christian Benteke stroked in the penalty.

Palace looked the more likely to win in what time remained but there was a stunning twist in the tale as substitute Barnes - just back from a long-term injury - lashed home in the fourth minute of injury time.

Manchester City 1-1 Middlesbrough

Marten de Roon's injury-time equaliser snatched a draw for Middlesbrough as Manchester City were made to pay for a sloppy second-half performance at Etihad Stadium.
Sergio Aguero put City ahead, stabbing in Kevin de Bruyne's cross for his 150th City goal with their 18th shot of the afternoon.

Boro were hugely improved after the break and Alvaro Negredo brought a fine save from Claudio Bravo with an audacious lob from the halfway line.

Pep Guardiola's side looked to have withstood the isolated spells of Boro pressure but De Roon's header from George Friend's 91st-minute cross denied them.

West Ham 1-1 Stoke

Bojan Krkic earned Stoke City a draw at West Ham as the Potters extended their unbeaten run to six games.

Chances had been at a premium before the Hammers took the lead when Michail Antonio's header from a Dimitri Payet cross came off Stoke midfielder Glenn Whelan and beat keeper Lee Grant at his near post.

West Ham keeper Adrian might have conceded a penalty for a foul on Jonathan Walters but the referee played on and Bojan volleyed in from his team-mate's cross.

Stoke almost snatched a late winner but Adrian palmed a Charlie Adam free-kick wide.

Chelsea 5-0 Everton

Eden Hazard scored twice as Chelsea powered their way to the top of the Premier League with an emphatic 5-0 thrashing of Everton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.

In a hugely one-sided contest, Hazard set the hosts on their way with the opening goal in the 19th minute.

Marcos Alonso doubled the advantage 23 seconds later and Diego Costa made it 3-0 shortly before the break.

Hazard scored the fourth for a Chelsea side brimming with confidence and Pedro completed the rout in the 65th minute.

Chelsea leapfrogged Liverpool and Manchester City for the PL summit on Sunday after managing a lone goal in their dominant performance against Middlesbrough at Riverside. And on Monday Night Football, West Brom thrashed Burnley FC by four goals to nothing.

Middlesbrough 0-1 Chelsea

Diego Costa's 10th goal of the season moved Chelsea top of the Premier League as their sixth straight win saw off Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.

After an even start, Chelsea upped the tempo and deservedly led at the break when Costa reacted quickest to drill in a loose ball inside the Boro box.

The Blues continued to create chances, Pedro going closest when he smacked a rising drive against the crossbar.

Boro's best chance came when Alvaro Negredo's 78th-minute volley was saved.

It was the only time the home side forced Blues keeper Thibaut Courtois into a serious stop as they lost for the first time in four matches.

Monday

West Bromwich 4-0 Burnley FC

West Brom scored three first-half goals as they swept aside a Burnley team that is struggling away from home this season.

The Clarets, now with only one point from 15 on their travels, got off to an awful start when Matt Phillips turned six yards out and fired high past keeper Tom Heaton.

Like Phillips, James Morrison also scored for a second successive game when he ran on to Salomon Rondon's pass and curled a low shot inside Heaton's near post from the edge of the box.

And the impressive Phillips provided the cross for the third, which was tapped in at the far post by Darren Fletcher for his first of the season.

Forward Rondon produced another terrific all-round performance and was rewarded with a goal after the break when his strike took two slight deflections as it beat Heaton.

The Baggies are back up to ninth in the Premier League, replacing Bournemouth, while Burnley move one place down to 12th.

Manchester United 1-1 Arsenal

Olivier Giroud's 89th-minute equaliser earned Arsenal a point and denied Jose Mourinho's Manchester United a victory they deserved at Old Trafford.

Juan Mata looked to have put United on course for three points with a sweeping left-foot finish from Ander Herrera's cut-back after 68 minutes.

Arsenal had not had an effort on goal but secured the draw that leaves them six points ahead of United when substitute Giroud rose at the far post to head home Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's cross.

Mourinho cut a dejected figure at the final whistle as this result means he has now faced Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal in the league this season and not recorded a win.

Crystal Palace 1-2 Manchester City

Yaya Toure marked his return to Manchester City's starting line-up by scoring twice in Pep Guardiola's side's 2-1 victory at Crystal Palace.

Making his first Premier League start of the season, Toure opened the scoring in the 39th minute after his shot deflected off James Tomkins and into the top corner.

Palace hit back in the second-half through substitute Connor WIckham (66) but City, who lost captain Vincent Kompany in the first half, after he was involved in a nasty looking collision with goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, regained the lead with just seven minutes remaining, courtesy of Yaya Toure who tapped home from close range to send his level on points with Liverpool atop the PL table.

Everton 1-1 Swansea

Bob Bradley's search for a first Swansea win goes on after Seamus Coleman's late header earned Everton a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park.

Swansea were heading for their first Premier League win since the opening day of the season, but Coleman rose highest to equalise in the 89th minute.

Gylfi Sigurdsson had given Swansea the lead from the spot in the first half after he was brought down by Phil Jagielka.

Southampton 0-0 Liverpool

Liverpool failed to make their second-half dominance count as they were held to a goalless draw at Southampton on Saturday.

Sadio Mane was brilliantly denied by Fraser Forster in the first half, but it was after the break that the Premier League leaders turned the screw.

Roberto Firmino and Nathaniel Clyne spurned the Reds' best opportunities, both failing to hit the target from good positions.

Stoke City 0-1 Bournemouth

Nathan Ake's header handed Bournemouth a fine 1-0 win at Stoke, who missed a second-half penalty through Bojan at the Bet365 Stadium.

Bournemouth took the lead on 26 minutes through Ake's close-range header, his first goal on his first start for the club.

Bojan missed a penalty for Stoke in the second half, hitting the bar from the spot after Simon Francis had stepped on the Spaniard's foot.

The result means Bournemouth go up to ninth, four points off the top six, while Stoke are in 13th, just three points off the drop zone.

Sunderland 3-0 Hull City

Jermain Defoe scored his 150th Premier League goal and Victor Anichebe struck twice as Sunderland recorded a precious win over Hull City.

Defoe's darting run and firm low finish made him just the eighth player in Premier League history to bring up the milestone and set Sunderland on their way to consecutive top-flight wins for the first time since May.

The in-form Victor Anichebe scored twice after the break for David Moyes' rejuvenated side, who remain inside the bottom three but are now two points ahead of Swansea and just two behind third-bottom Hull.

The Tigers had more possession and more chances than their hosts in an open and entertaining game.

Watford 2-1 Leicester City

Watford scored inside the opening 33 seconds as they defeated champions Leicester at Vicarage Road.

Etienne Capoue volleyed the Hornets into the lead - their fastest Premier League goal - before Roberto Pereyra curled in a second after 12 minutes.

Leicester pulled one back when Riyad Mahrez converted a penalty after Miguel Britos' clumsy foul on Jamie Vardy.

But the Foxes could not score again and remain without an away league victory this season.

Tottenham 3-2 West Ham

Tottenham maintained their unbeaten start to the PL amid high drama as Harry Kane struck twice at the death in a breathless victory over West Ham at White Hart Lane.

Michail Antonio's first-half header and a Manuel Lanzini penalty had put West Ham 2-1 up and seemingly on course for only a fourth league win of the season, but Kane's late show emphatically turned the contest on its head.

First the England striker turned home from close range after good work down the left by substitute Son Heung-Min, while two minutes later the South Korean was brought down in the area by Havard Nordtveit and Kane tucked away the resulting spot-kick.

Earlier, 20-year-old midfielder Harry Winks had equalised for Tottenham on his full Premier League debut, but Lanzini's penalty - awarded after Vincent Janssen pulled back Winston Reid in the area - put West Ham back in the driving seat before Kane intervened.

Bournemouth 4-3 Liverpool

Bournemouth scored three goals in the final 14 minutes to complete a remarkable fightback and beat Liverpool 4-3 at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday.

Nathan Ake bundled home a stoppage-time winner for the hosts, who had been 3-1 down with 75 minutes played.

Sadio Mane (20) and Divock Origi (22) put the visitors in control at half-time, and they looked comfortable again when Emre Can restored their two-goal cushion (64) following Callum Wilson's 56th-minute penalty, won by substitute Ryan Fraser.

But Bournemouth stunned their opponents with a late rally as Fraser pulled one back himself (76) before setting up Steve Cook's equaliser two minutes later (78).

Ake's late finish snatched the three points and secured Bournemouth's first ever win over Liverpool, sending the Cherries up to 10th in the Premier League table.

Everton 1-1 Man Utd

Leighton Baines rescued a late point for Everton against Manchester United after substitute Marouane Fellaini conceded a costly penalty against his former club at Goodison Park.

Fellaini, on his 100th United appearance, was introduced in the 85th minute to help see out the win but his first meaningful action was to commit a clumsy foul on Idrissa Gueye in the area at the 89^th minute mark, and Baines made no mistake from 12 yards.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's sixth goal in five games had earlier put United on course for just a third PL win in 11 matches.

United have now dropped seven points as a result of goals conceded in the final 10 minutes of league games this season - more than any other side, they remain 6^th and 13points off the top.

Chelsea's eighth straight PL win cemented their place at the top of the table - but their victory at Etihad Stadium ended in chaos as Manchester City's Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho were sent off in injury time.

Chelsea was impressive as they cut City apart on the break after going behind to Gary Cahill's own goal on the stroke of half-time, when he diverted Jesus Navas' cross beyond keeper Thibaut Courtois.

The game turned on Kevin de Bruyne's 56th-minute miss with City in control, crashing Navas' cross against the bar from inside the six-yard box.

Chelsea drew level on the hour when Diego Costa outmuscled Nicolas Otamendi to score and they were ahead 10 minutes later when substitute Willian raced clear to beat City keeper Claudio Bravo with ease.

Benteke grabbed his second late on as he tapped in after Jason Puncheon's pull-back as Palace secured their first win in eight matches to pull away from the bottom places.

Stoke City 2-0 Burnley

Marc Muniesa scored his first Premier League goal to seal a deserved home win for Stoke over Burnley.

Striker Jonathan Walters put Stoke ahead with an exquisite finish, guiding home a volley from Mame Biram Diouf's teasing cross.

Spanish defender Muniesa made it 2-0 before half-time thanks to a crisp low volley following clever play on the left flank by Marko Arnautovic.

Burnley went close late on when Andre Gray's angled shot was parried by goalkeeper Lee Grant.

Sunderland 2-1 Leicester

The Black Cats took the lead when Robert Huth turned a corner into his own net midway through the second half.

And before Leicester could mount a response, David Moyes' side added a second when Jermain Defoe drove in after Duncan Watmore's shot was blocked.

Substitute Shinji Okazaki flicked Demarai Gray's cross in at the near post to set up a tense finish, but Sunderland held on.

Tottenham 5-0 Swansea

Harry Kane celebrated his new contract at Tottenham by scoring twice to help his side thrash Swansea at White Hart Lane.

The England international, who signed a deal that will keep him at the club until 2022 on Thursday, opened the scoring from the spot after Dele Alli was brought down by Kyle Naughton in the 39th minute.

Heung-Min Son added Spurs' second on the stroke of half-time with an acrobatic volley before Kane scored his second of the game just after the interval, starting and finishing a swift counter-attack from the hosts.

Chelsea reclaimed top spot in the Premier League with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over West Brom at Stamford Bridge.

With the game heading towards a frustrating stalemate, Diego Costa punished a Gareth McAuley error on 76 minutes as the Blues restored their three-point lead over Arsenal at the top of the table.

Costa's 12th goal of the season extended Chelsea's winning streak to nine top-flight games as Antonio Conte's men further underlined their status as title favourites.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan's first Premier League goal gave Manchester United victory over top-four rivals Tottenham.

United, still six points behind fourth-placed Manchester City, led when Mkhitaryan raced on to Ander Herrera's through ball and hammered into the roof of the net.

Victor Wanyama should have levelled with a header from six yards out, although visitors Spurs created few chances despite plenty of possession.

Sofiane Boufal scored his first Premier League goal as his spectacular strike from 25 yards gave Southampton a win over Middlesbrough.

Boufal, who joined the Saints for a club record fee of £16m from Lille in August, collected the ball from James Ward-Prowse before blasting past Boro goalkeeper Victor Valdes.

Viktor Fischer had the visitors' best chance but his shot was blocked on the goalline by Jose Fonte.

Liverpool fell behind in the Premier League title race after being held to a 2-2 draw by West Ham at Anfield on Sunday.

Liverpool took the lead early on through Adam Lallana's neat strike, but Dimitri Payet's 25-yard free-kick and Michail Antonio's finish had West Ham going into the break 2-1 up via some questionable goalkeeping from Loris Karius on both occasions.

Divock Origi capitalised on Darren Randolph dropping a Sadio Mane cross to finish from close range just after the break, but despite dominating the second half in possession, Liverpool could not grab a winner.

Watford 3-2 Everton

Italy international – Stefano Okaka - opened his Hornets account with a spectacular back-heel on 36 minutes, cancelling out Romelu Lukaku’s 17th-minute opener.

Sebastian Prodl hit his first goal of the season to give Watford the advantage early in the second half before Okaka doubled his tally on 64 minutes to put the game beyond the Toffees.

Lukaku grabbed a lifeline for Ronald Koeman’s men four minutes from time but there was to be no way back for the Merseysiders, who have won just one of their last 10 league games.

Arsenal 3-1 Stoke City

Arsenal moved top of the Premier League as they came from behind to beat Stoke at Emirates Stadium.

The visitors took the lead through Charlie Adam's penalty after Granit Xhaka elbowed Joe Allen.

Theo Walcott turned in substitute Hector Bellerin's cross just before half-time for his 100th club goal.

Mesut Ozil headed over goalkeeper Lee Grant to give Arsenal the lead before substitute Alex Iwobi side-footed home the third.

The win sees the Gunners go top on goal difference ahead of Chelsea, who host West Brom on Nissan Super Sunday, and stretches their unbeaten run in the league to 14 matches

Burnley 3-2 Bournemouth

Jeff Hendrick's stunning half-volley helped Burnley end a run of three L defeats as they beat Bournemouth at Turf Moor.

Burnley's record signing opened the scoring on 13 minutes, finding the top corner from 25 yards for his second goal for the Clarets.

Three minutes later the home side doubled their lead, as Hendrick's Republic of Ireland team-mate Stephen Ward slid in to score on the rebound from close range.

Bournemouth halved the deficit on the stroke of half-time as Benik Afobe swept home Simon Francis' pass, before George Boyd extended the lead when he latched on to Andre Gray's backheel to slam into the bottom corner.

Charlie Daniels' thumping injury-time strike set up a tense final few minutes but Burnley held on.

A late equaliser from substitute Fraizer Campbell saw Crystal Palace snatch a draw at Hull City in a thrilling PL game.

The Tigers went ahead through Robert Snodgrass' controversial penalty before Christian Benteke equalised with another spot-kick.

Wilfried Zaha blasted the Eagles ahead, but Hull benefited from poor Palace defending as Adama Diomande and Jake Livermore scored twice in a six-minute period to put the hosts back in front.

But Campbell, who played 38 times for Hull in the 2007-08 season, headed in from Zaha's cross to make it 3-3.

Swansea 3-0 Sunderland

Swansea moved out of the relegation zone after Fernando Llorente struck twice in a 3-0 home victory over Sunderland.

Gylfi Sigurdsson broke the deadlock from the penalty spot six minutes into the second half, after Jason Denayer was adjudged to have handled Wayne Routledge's delivery.

Fernando Llorente doubled the advantage just three minutes later, sweeping home from Sigurdsson's corner with a deft, close-range finish.

And Llorente made the game safe 10 minutes from time by connecting with Jefferson Montero's left-wing cross and heading past Jordan Pickford.

Leicester 4-2 Manchester City

Jamie Vardy scored a hat-trick as Leicester City pulled off a stunning victory over an out-of-sorts Manchester City.

The Foxes were 2-0 up in five minutes as Vardy ended his 10-game run without a PL goal by slotting home, and Andy King curled in moments later.

It was 3-0 within 20 minutes as Vardy added another after skipping past visiting keeper Claudio Bravo, and he completed his hat-trick by intercepting a misplaced John Stones pass and finishing from a narrow angle.

Aleksandar Kolarov, with a free-kick, and Nolito scored late consolation goals for the away side.

City have now lost back-to-back league games for the first time since Pep Guardiola took over in the summer, and are four points adrift of leaders Arsenal.

Chelsea bounced back from their second defeat of the season – a 2-0 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. Week 16 of the EPL kicked off this past Tuesday with defending champions – Leicester City - putting up a limp performance on the heels of their 4-2 stunner over Manchester City this past weekend as they went down by a lone goal to Bournemouth, and Arsenal ceded the second spot on the PL after Everton came from a goal down to hand them a 2-1 loss to put an end to the former’s three game winning run.

And on Wednesday, PL leaders - Chelsea – moved six points clear atop the leaderboardfollowing a hard fought lone goal away win over an unyielding Sunderland side, Liverpool swept past Middlesbrough courtesy of Adam Lallana’s double in a 3-0 riot to leapfrog Arsenal for the second spot, Manchester eased some pressure off of Pep Guardiola with a 2-0 win over Watford at the Etihad to halt a two game slide, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic struck an 88th-minute winner for Manchester United against Crystal palace in a 2-1 win for his sides second straight win in as many weeks.

Elsewhere on Tuesday, title hopefuls – Tottenham Spurs – who remain 10points back routed Hull City by three goals to nothing at home, West Ham scored their first PL win after 7 tries courtesy of a lone goal advantage over Burnley, Southampton missed out on the chance to make it a perfect two out of two in their last two matches following a frustrating 0-0 tie at Stoke, and Salomon Rondon’s impressive hat-trick of headers, his first ever in the PL plunged struggling Swansea deeper into the relegation quagmire.

Tuesday matches

Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester City

Leicester City's dismal PL title defence continued with a floppy 1-0 defeat against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday night.

Marc Pugh marked his first Premier League start of the season with the decisive goal, emphatically volleying the Cherries ahead after 34 minutes after Ron-Robert Zieler had denied Benik Afobe.

The reigning champions looked a shadow of the side which ruthlessly dispatched Manchester City 4-2 in their last league outing but came close to snatching a point at the death, only for Artur Boruc to thwart Leonardo Ulloa from point-blank range.

The win saw Bournemouth move up to 8^th, the highest in club history.

Everton 2-1 Arsenal

Arsenal missed the chance to keep pace as Everton came from behind to secure a first victory since October.

The Gunners, who had won their previous three games, were rewarded for an impressive start as Alexis Sanchez's free-kick deflected in off Ashley Williams.

Everton equalized just before half-time when Seamus Coleman glanced home Leighton Baines' excellent cross.

The Toffees, encouraged by a vocal crowd, dominated thereafter and Williams powered home a late header to complete the turnaround.

Everton moved up 7^th with the win.

Wednesday matches

Middlesbrough 0-3 Liverpool

Adam Lallana scored twice and set up another as Liverpool beat Middlesbrough 3-0 at the Riverside on Wednesday night.

The England midfielder put Liverpool ahead in the first half with a far post header from Nathaniel Clyne's deep cross, before Divock Origi added a second after the break from close range after Lallana's cross.

Lallana was at it again on 68 minutes, firing home from inside the area after Origi had returned the favour, and it stayed at 3-0 as Liverpool picked up a vital three points.

Sunderland 0-1 Chelsea

Chelsea opened a 6point lead over the competition with a 1-0 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Wednesday night.

Cesc Fabregas' first league goal of the season put the Blues in front after 40 minutes and they had chances to make the game safe through Diego Costa, N'Golo Kante and Willian who all missed target.

And they were nearly punished in stoppage time but Thibaut Courtois denied Patrick van Aanholt with a stunning stop, preserving his clean sheet and securing Chelsea's 10th consecutive top-flight victory.

West Ham 1-0 Burnley

Mark Noble's first-half strike earned West Ham their first PL win in seven games at London Stadium.

It looked like the Hammers would go into the break without anything to show for their dominance, but in stoppage time they won a spot-kick when Ben Mee brought down Winston Reid.

Up stepped Noble. His initial kick was saved low by Tom Heaton but he kept his composure to tuck in the rebound.

Noble and Pedro Obiang both struck the woodwork with brilliant shots and Burnley's Matt Lowton produced a goal-saving block to deny Aaron Cresswell.

The Clarets improved markedly after the break. Keeper Darren Randolph made a great one-handed save to keep out Scott Arfield's free-kick and Sam Vokes headed over with the goal gaping.

Victory lifted the Hammers four points clear of the relegation zone and up to 15th in the table.

Crystal Palace 1-2 Manchester United

Zlatan Ibrahimovic struck two minutes from time to give Manchester United a vital victory just as it appeared they had squandered another advantage at Crystal Palace.

The 35-year-old Swede slid on to Paul Pogba's pass to beat Wayne Hennessey from an acute angle after James McArthur's 66th-minute strike seemed to have rescued a point for a strangely passive Palace.

Pogba's assist repaid Ibrahimovic for creating his opener in first-half stoppage time - although Palace were furious as claims for a handball in the final pass and offside against the scorer were ignored by referee Craig Pawson.

United maintained their 6^th spot but remain a whopping 13points off the lead.

Manchester City 2-0 Watford

Manchester City earned their first Premier League home win in almost three months as they edged past Watford at Etihad Stadium.

City, looking to avoid a third top-flight defeat in a row, led when an unmarked Zabaleta calmly side-footed in Kevin de Bruyne's deep cross.

Raheem Sterling clipped the Watford bar after the break, before Odion Ighalo poked over Watford's best chance.

And the visitors were punished when David Silva tucked in a late second on his 200th league appearance after a swift City break.

But City remain 7points behind leaders Chelsea.

Stoke 0-0 Southampton

Stoke held Southampton to a goalless draw.The away side had plenty of possession but struggled to create chances in a poor game.

Saints substitute Jay Rodriguez missed the game's best opening when he failed to make contact with Sofiane Boufal's second-half low cross.

James Ward-Prowse had a chance to strike the winner from close range after a Glen Johnson error, but his shot was deflected wide.

The point moves Southampton up to ninth, while Stoke Stoke stay in 12th.

Tottenham 3-0 Hull

Christian Eriksen scored twice as Tottenham proved too strong in the face of a spirited Hull City display at White Hart Lane.

The Denmark international struck in either half as Spurs strengthened their grip on fifth spot;  Danny Rose laid Eriksen's first on a plate inside 15 minutes after good work down the left, and Kyle Walker did likewise from the right to snuff out any hope of a Hull comeback after the break.

Eriksen was desperately unlucky not to claim the match ball after seeing a superb free-kick tipped on to the post by Hull goalkeeper David Marshall, allowing Victor Wanyama to mop up the rebound from a couple of yards out.

West Bromwich 3-1 Swansea

Salomon Rondon's hat-trick of headers sent West Brom seventh in the Premier League as a 3-1 defeat at The Hawthorns kept Swansea in the bottom three.

Rondon's goals - all headers - came in a devastating 13-minute period early in the second half and highlighted the defensive frailties which have contributed to Swansea's poor season.

Rondon headed home Matt Phillips' inswinging free-kick to open the scoring and, 11 minutes later, was again unmarked as the £12m striker converted Brunt's deep cross towards the far post.

The Venezuelan completed his hat-trick in the 63rd minute, with Brunt again the provider as the striker found the top-right corner.

The 27-year-old becomes only the second player to score a hat-trick of headers in the Premier League, with former Everton striker Duncan Ferguson the only other to do so, against Bolton in 1997.

Arsenal’s readiness to fight for the PL top spot failed to pass muster on Sunday as they ceded the second spot in a 2-1 capitulation to Man City who notched an impressive come from behind win at the Etihad to get their title hopes back on track, Southampton defeated local rivals Bournemouth 3-1 courtesy of Jay Rodriguez’s double and Danny Rose produced the winner as the Spurs came from behind to defeat Burnley under controversial circumstances at home.

And on Monday night, Sadio Mane’s last-gasp goal denied Everton a share of the spoils in the Merseyside derby.

Everton 0-1 Liverpool

Sadio Mane's goal deep into injury time sank Everton and settled a scrappy Merseyside derby in Liverpool's favour at Goodison Park.

The Reds' £34m summer signing from Southampton reacted first to a loose ball after substitute Daniel Sturridge's shot had hit the post in the fourth of eight minutes of stoppage time.

Everton have now won just one of their past 20 meetings with their local rivals.

Liverpool moved up to second on the PL table with the victory, a point and 3points ahead of Manchester City and Arsenal respectively.

Sunday

Bournemouth 1-3 Southampton

Jay Rodriguez's first Premier League goals since August gave Southampton victory over local rivals Bournemouth.

Both sides scored with their first efforts on target, with Nathan Ake's acrobatic header putting the Cherries in front after six minutes before Ryan Bertrand levelled with a solo dribble and finish.

Half-time substitute Steve Davis made an immediate impact, providing Rodriguez with a tap-in to give the Saints the lead.

And Rodriguez's superb 20-yard finish late on eased the visitors to victory.

Southampton move up to seventh, three points above Bournemouth, who stay 10th.

Manchester City 2-1 Arsenal

Manchester City moved up to second on the PL table as Arsenal squandered a lead to lose for the second successive game.

Theo Walcott's cool fifth-minute finish from Alexis Sanchez's pass put the Gunners in control at the interval - but the second half brought a familiar painful fate for manager Arsene Wenger and his players.

Leroy Sane brought City level straight after half-time, before Raheem Sterling won the game with a goal 19 minutes from time.

As a result, Arsenal dropped to the 4th spot and 9points behind whilst Man City improved to 7points behind leaders Chelsea.

Tottenham Spurs 2-1 Burnley FC 

Danny Rose's second-half strike ensured Tottenham kept the pressure on the Premier League's top four with a 2-1 win against Burnley on Sunday afternoon.

Burnley took a surprise lead in the 21st minute through Ashley Barnes, but Dele Alli replied five minutes later.

The result means Tottenham stay in fifth, just one point behind both Arsenal and Liverpool who will be in action on Monday.

Saturday

Crystal Palace 0-1 Chelsea

Chelsea moved nine points clear atop the PL as they extended their winning run to 11 games with a 1-0 victory at Crystal Palace.

Diego Costa scored the only goal of the game, heading home Cesar Azpilicueta's cross in the 44th minute for his 13th league goal of the season.

The visitors, who will be without both Costa and N'Golo Kante for the Boxing Day fixture against Bournemouth after the pair picked up yellow cards, pushed for a second with substitute Cesc Fabregas and Marcos Alonso both being denied by Wayne Hennessey saves.

Alonso then struck the crossbar with a free-kick in the 84th minute but the wasted chances did not prove costly as Antonio Conte's side held on for a third straight 1-0 win to extend their lead at the top, and equal a club-record run of successive wins.

Stoke City 2-2 Leicester City

Champions Leicester City recovered from Jamie Vardy's red card and a two-goal deficit to claim an incredible draw at Stoke City.

Vardy was contentiously dismissed by referee Craig Pawson for a two-footed tackle on Mame Diouf.

Stoke took advantage to score twice before half-time, with Bojan Krkic converting a penalty after Danny Simpson's handball, and Joe Allen tapping in.

But the Foxes mounted a remarkable comeback in the final 15 minutes, with substitute Leonardo Ulloa and Daniel Amartey heading home to snatch a point.

It leaves Leicester three points above the relegation zone in 15th, while Stoke are 11th.

West Ham 1-0 Hull City

Mark Noble's penalty 14 minutes from time gave West Ham a narrow 1-0 win over Hull City at London Stadium on Saturday.

Three days after his winner against Burnley, it was captain Noble who gave West Ham the three points again, rolling a penalty home after Tom Huddlestone brought down Michail Antonio.

Dieumerci Mbokani hit the post for Hull in the first half after capitalising on Aaron Cresswell's mistake, before Noble nearly diverted into his own net after half-time, hitting the bottom of the woodwork with a header.

Middlesbrough 3-0 Swansea

Alvaro Negredo scored twice to help Middlesbrough beat fellow strugglers Swansea City 3-0 at the Riverside on Saturday afternoon.

The home side led 2-0 at the break thanks to Negredo's double, the first a brilliant volley, before the striker added another from the penalty spot.

Boro then wrapped up the points when Marten De Roon side-footed home just before the hour-mark to end a poor recent run of two straight league defeats without scoring.

M’boro moved up to 14th in the table, four points clear of the drop zone, while the Swans are now three points from safety in 19th position.

Sunderland 1-0 Watford

Sunderland moved off the bottom of the Premier League and to within a point of safety with victory over Watford at the Stadium of Light.

Following a first half of few chances, Patrick van Aanholt scored the only goal of the game shortly after the break.

Adnan Januzaj slid a lovely ball to Jermain Defoe, whose low cross was touched by Van Aanholt, who then swivelled and shot in off the post from six yards.

Troy Deeney had a chance to equalise when he met a Nordin Amrabat cross, but his header flew wide.

Daryl Janmaat and Odion Ighalo also had late efforts for the visitors saved by keeper Jordan Pickford, as Watford slipped to a fourth defeat in five games.

West Bromwich 0–2 Manchester Utd

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his tenth goal in nine matches as Manchester United eased to victory over West Brom.

The former Sweden international headed home from a brilliant Jesse Lingard delivery after only five minutes to put the visitors ahead.

Ibrahimovic struck again just after the break when his effort from inside the box went in off Baggies defender Craig Dawson.

United are now unbeaten in 10 matches in all competitions and seem to be on the mend after a 3 game skid that saw them play to 3 successive ties. They however remain 13points behind leaders Chelsea.

Also on Saturday, West Ham continued their poor start to the season as they picked up their fourth loss of the season in a 4-2 loss at the Hawthorns, and Everton extended their winning run to four games with a 3-1 victory over Middlesbrough to leapfrog to the second spot on the table.

Chelsea 1-2 Liverpool

Jordan Henderson scored a goal-of-the-season contender as Liverpool beat Chelsea 2-1 on Friday Night Football at Stamford Bridge.

Jurgen Klopp's side showed tremendous energy in the first half and raced into a two goal lead thanks to Dejan Lovren's neat finish and Henderson's stunning effort.

Chelsea, who were booed off at half-time, failed to lay a glove on the rampant Reds until Diego Costa netted his fifth goal of the season with 29 minutes remaining, but Liverpool saw the game out comfortably.

The result moves Liverpool on to 10 points - level with Chelsea - as Antonio Conte suffered his first defeat as Blues head coach.

Leicester 3-0 Burnley

Islam Slimani made the perfect start to his Premier League career as he scored twice for Leicester in a 3-0 victory over Burnley.

The club's record signing, who joined from Sporting Lisbon for £29m, scored either side of half-time to provide the catalyst for the Premier League champions to stretch their unbeaten home record to 19 games.

Ben Mee scored a comical own goal to rub salt into Burnley's wounds as Sean Dyche's side have lost all of their away games in all competitions this season without scoring.

Manchester City 4-0 Bournemouth

A rampant Manchester City maintained their 100 per cent start to the season by cruising past Bournemouth 4-0 at the Etihad on Saturday.

The home side led 2-0 at half-time after strikes from the outstanding Kevin De Bruyne and Kelechi Iheanacho, who was once again deputizing for the suspended Sergio Aguero.

City wrapped up the points by adding further goals after the break from Raheem Sterling and Ilkay Gundogan, who was making his Premier League debut, with their only disappointment being the late red card for Nolito.

Hull City 1-4 Arsenal

Alexis Sanchez scored a brace and missed a penalty as Arsenal comfortably beat 10-man Hull City at home.

Sanchez put Arsenal ahead when he got a touch on Alex Iwobi's shot, but failed from the spot after Jake Livermore handled and was sent off.

Theo Walcott added a second after the break before Robert Snodgrass pulled one back for the hosts with a penalty.

Sanchez stroked a third into an empty net before Granit Xhaka's spectacular shot rounded off the scoring.

West Brom Albion 4-2 West Ham United

West Ham's poor start to the season continued as they suffered a fourth league defeat, going down 4-2 to West Brom at the Hawthorns.

In their first game under new Chinese ownership, Albion raced into a 4-0 lead after an hour with record-signing Nacer Chadli scoring twice.

But West Ham then scored two in four minutes to halve the deficit.

Michail Antonio netted his fifth league goal of the season but the Baggies held on for a first home win since March.

The Hammers' latest defeat came on the back of last week's 4-2 loss to Watford, a game they had led 2-0 at one stage.

Everton 3-1 Middlesbrough

Everton extended their unbeaten start under Ronald Koeman to five games as they came from behind to beat Middlesbrough 3-1 at Goodison Park.

In controversial circumstances, Maarten Stekelenburg's 21st-minute own goal had threatened to derail the hosts' bright start to life under the Dutchman, but, on his 600th Premier League appearance, Gareth Barry hauled Everton level just three minutes later.

From that point, Koeman's side took firm control of the contest as Seamus Coleman's fine individual effort put them ahead before Romelu Lukaku grabbed his fourth goal in two games with their third before half-time.

And the Merseysiders saw out the victory with ease as they moved up to second in the Premier League table, securing their best start to the league campaign since 1978.

Watford 3-1 Man United

Manchester United slipped to their third consecutive defeat as they lost 3-1 at Watford in the Premier League on Sunday.

Etienne Capoue's fourth goal of the season put the hosts in front at Vicarage Road, before Marcus Rashford equalised from close range after the break.

An inspired change by Walter Mazzarri saw substitute Juan Camilo Zuniga sweep Watford back ahead with his first touch seven minutes from time, and Troy Deeney added a late penalty after Zuniga was fouled by Marouane Fellaini.

The Defeat caps a miserable eight days for Jose Mourinho's side after they were beaten in the Manchester derby last Saturday and then in the Europa League by Feyenoord on Thursday.

It is the first time Mourinho has lost three games in a row as a manager since August 2006, when he was in his first spell at Chelsea.

Crystal Palace 4-1 Stoke

Crystal Palace inflicted further misery on the Premier League's bottom side Stoke City with a thumping home win.

Palace were 2-0 up inside 12 minutes thanks to goals at set pieces from defenders James Tomkins and Scott Dann.

Stoke improved after the break but nearly went 3-0 down when Bojan Krkic cleared a Dann header off the line.

James McArthur's deflected strike was followed by a fine Andros Townsend goal before Marko Arnautovic scored a consolation with the game's final play.

Southampton 1-0 Swansea City

Charlie Austin came off the bench to score the winner as Southampton beat Swansea City 1-0 at St Mary's.

Nathan Redmond wasted two great opportunities to give the Saints the lead in the first half, but it was the second-half introduction of Austin that proved the difference.

The striker, who had scored a brace against Sparta Prague in the Europa League in midweek, went agonisingly close to opening the scoring when his header crashed back off the crossbar and drifted the wrong side of the post off the back of goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.

Tottenham 1-0 Sunderland

Tottenham maintained their unbeaten start to the Premier League season with a comfortable victory against winless Sunderland at White Hart Lane.

Spurs dominated but did not make the breakthrough until Harry Kane scored with their 22nd attempt on goal.

Papy Djilobodji failed to clear a Dele Alli header allowing Kane to poke home from point-blank range on 59 minutes.

Late on, Kane suffered a nasty ankle injury and Sunderland's Adnan Januzaj was sent off for a second booking.

A fourth defeat in five games means Sunderland are yet to win in the league under David Moyes.

Liverpool won for the third straight time in as many outings as they shellacked 10-man Hull City by five goals to one with James Milner hitting a brace from the spot to lift the Reds in into the top four, and Tottenham moved up second on the PL log courtesy of Heung-Min Son’s first half brace in their 2-1 win at newly promoted Middlesbrough.

Also on Saturday, Everton lost for the first time under Ronald Koeman’s charge, Salomon Rondon’s stoppage-time equalizer earned West Brom a point against Stoke City, and the rot continued for Sunderland who lost for the fifth time this season after going down 2-3 at home to Crystal Palace.


On Sunday, West Ham fell to their fourth straight PL defeat on Sunday afternoon as they were beaten 3-0 by Southampton, and on Monday Night, Jeff Hendrick and Michael Keane scored their first ever PL goals for the Clarets as Burnley recorded a morale boosting 2-0 win over Watford.

Manchester Utd 4-1 Leicester City

A rampant first-half display gave Manchester United a 4-1 win over champions Leicester at Old Trafford on Saturday.
United captain Wayne Rooney was dropped for the lunchtime kick-off, but it didn't seem to impact United as they raced into a 4-0 lead before half-time.

Chris Smalling's header from a corner put them ahead halfway through the first period, before Rooney's replacement Juan Mata finished off a superb team-move for 2-0.

Marcus Rashford's simple finish from another corner made it 3-0, and Paul Pogba scored his first goal for United with a fine header to make it four as the hosts dominated proceedings.

Substitute Demarai Gray scored a stunning consolation for the champions from 25 yards on the hour mark, but it wasn't enough to start a comeback as Leicester suffered their third defeat in six games this season.


Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Everton lost in the league for the first time under Ronald Koeman as Junior Stanislas' superb shot gave Bournemouth a deserved victory.

Jack Wilshere hit the crossbar with a deflected shot before Stanislas' 25-yard drive flew into the top corner.

Harry Arter and Callum Wilson also went close as the Cherries won for the second time in the league this season.

Romelu Lukaku's early header was brilliantly saved by Artur Boruc but Everton rarely threatened.

This match produced a 3-3 thriller last season with four late goals and a 98th-minute equaliser from Stanislas, who proved Everton's undoing again.


Liverpool 5-1 Hull City

Liverpool claimed a third straight Premier League win courtesy of an emphatic victory over 10-man Hull.

The Reds controlled the game and led through Adam Lallana's low shot.

Ahmed Elmohamady saw red for handball in the box, with James Milner scoring from the spot before Sadio Mane added a third for the home side.

David Meyler lashed in for Hull but Philippe Coutinho's long-range strike and a second Milner penalty underlined the home side's dominance.

Jurgen Klopp's side are now fourth in the table and the division's second-top scorers behind Manchester City, with 16 goals in six matches - 11 of those coming in their past three.


Middlesbrough 1-2 Tottenham Spurs

Heung-Min Son bagged a first-half brace as Tottenham secured a 2-1 win at Middlesbrough to remain unbeaten and go second on the table.

The Londoners were without last season's Golden Boot winner Harry Kane but their attacking threat was undiminished in the first half.

The visitors were less inspired after the break and an improved Boro side pulled one back through Ben Gibson, but they could not find an equalizer and Spurs are off to their best ever start to a Premier League season.


Stoke City 1-1 West Brom Albion

Salomon Rondon's stoppage-time equaliser secured West Brom a 1-1 draw at Stoke to leave Mark Hughes’ side winless in the Premier League.

Joe Allen had looked to have won it for the Potters when he bundled the ball home via a deflection off Claudio Yacob but Stoke's weakness from set-pieces cost them.

Rondon's header from Darren Fletcher's left-wing corner was too hot for Lee Grant to handle and earned the Baggies a scarcely-deserved point on the occasion of Tony Pulis' 1000th game as a manager.


Sunderland 2-3 Crystal Palace

Christian Benteke's last-minute header left Sunderland waiting for their first league victory of the season as Crystal Palace came from 2-0 down to win.

The Belgian powered home from six yards out after a free-kick to give Palace a third straight league win and leave the Black Cats bottom of the table.

Jermain Defoe had put the hosts in charge with two well-taken goals.

But Joe Ledley pulled one back with a deflected shot before James McArthur's header pulled Palace level.

Sunderland, one of just two teams yet to triumph in the Premier League this season, have not won a league game in September since 2012.


Swansea 1-3 Manchester City

Sergio Aguero's double helped Man City maintain their 100 per cent start to the Premier League season with a 3-1 win over Swansea at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.
Aguero, on his return from a three-match suspension, opened the scoring with a fine finish before Fernando Llorente swiftly equalised with his first goal for Swansea.

Aguero added his second of the game, and 11th of the season, from the penalty spot after Mike van der Hoorn was penalised for an arm across the face of Kevin De Bruyne, and Raheem Sterling completed the scoring.

There was a late injury worry for Pep Guardiola as De Bruyne limped off appearing to hold his hamstring, but the victory makes it six wins from six league games, and 10 in a row in all competitions under the new head coach.


Arsenal 3-0 Chelsea

Arsenal produced a devastating first-half display to dismantle Chelsea and secure a fourth successive Premier League win.

Alexis Sanchez took advantage of Gary Cahill's error to race clear and lift a composed finish over Thibaut Courtois after 11 minutes, and Theo Walcott completed a brilliant move to steer in Hector Bellerin's pass three minutes later.

Mesut Ozil then left N'Golo Kante trailing to expose Chelsea on the counter-attack and steer home Arsenal's third five minutes before the break, after an exchange with Sanchez.

It was little more than damage limitation for Chelsea after that as they fell to their second league loss in a row as rampant Arsenal moved third in the table.

West Ham 0-3 Southampton

Charlie Austin scored his fifth goal in four appearances as Southampton condemned West Ham to a fourth successive Premier League defeat.

Austin broke the deadlock in a cagey encounter with a side-foot finish following Ryan Bertrand's pull-back.

Dusan Tadic made it 2-0, collecting a pass from Austin and rounding Adrian before finding the empty net.

James Ward-Prowse's low finish consigned West Ham, who had just one shot on target, to defeat.

The facts are damning for the Hammers. They have lost five of their opening six games in a top-flight season for the first time in their history and are 18th in the table having conceded 16 goals.

Southampton, meanwhile, have won four matches in a row in all competitions and are up to eighth.

Burnley FC 2-0 Watford

Burnley's record signing Jeff Hendrick scored his first goal for the club to help his side beat a lacklustre Watford in the Premier League.

The hosts had carried the greater threat and Hendrick headed in from a Steven Defour cross for the opener.

Troy Deeney had a rare Hornets shot saved before Defour crossed for Michael Keane to nod in a second for Burnley.

Isaac Success went close late on for Watford but the Clarets easily held on for a second league win of the season.

The victory moved Burnley level on seven points with Watford.

Chelsea ended their 3 game winless run in the Premier League on Saturday with a 2-0 win over Hull City to ease some of the pressure on first year boss – Antonio Conte – who praised the intensity and commitment he saw in his players after the game. Liverpool extended their winning streak to four straight, courtesy of a late James Milner spot kick as the Reds climbed back from a goal down for the maximum points, and Watford’s Granada summer signing - Isaac Success – who came on as a substitute salvaged a point for his side against Bournemouth in their Vicarage Road thriller.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Sunderland’s Patrick Van Aanholt came off the bench to salvage a point for his side 7 minutes from time against West Brom, and West Ham and Middlesbrough ended their losing runs with a 1-1 tie.

Earlier on Friday, Romelu Lukaku scored his sixth goal in five league games to equalise with a late strike in an entertaining match against Crystal Palace.

And on Sunday, PL runner-ups from last year – Tottenham Spurs - deservedly ended Pep Guardiola's perfect Premier League start and underlined their own title credentials with a thrilling victory over Manchester City at White Hart Lane, Manchester Utd failed to capitalize on their home court as they settled for a 1-1 tie with Stoke City, visiting Southampton held PL Champions – Leicester City – to a goalless draw as the struggles continue to mount for the latter, and Burnley suffered a cruel defeat at Turf Moor as Arsenal secured victory with a controversial Laurent Koscielny goal in the final act of an intriguing match.

Everton 1-1 Crystal Palace

Poor Everton defending allowed Scott Dann to head Palace in front late on as the Londoners looked on course to win.

But Lukaku - who had twice struck the woodwork - tapped in Gerard Deulofeu's low cross from two yards for a deserved point for the dominant hosts.

Palace's Jordon Mutch sent a shot wide as both sides searched for a winner.

The draw was still enough to move Palace to sixth on goal difference, though manager Alan Pardew will be disappointed that his team only held their lead for five minutes, to drop points from a winning position for the first time this season.

Swansea 1-2 Liverpool

James Milner's late penalty gave Liverpool a 2-1 win at Swansea on Saturday to extend their winning run to five games.

Leroy Fer gave Swansea the lead with a simple close-range finish early on, and Swansea should have been further ahead in the first half, but Borja Baston's two unmarked headers were off target.

Liverpool's pressure either side of half-time took its toll on Swansea as Roberto Firmino headed the visitors level from 10 yards on 54 minutes.

And they got their winner in the 84th minute as Firmino was brought down by Angel Rangel in the area, Milner making no mistake from the spot.

Swansea defender Mike van der Hoorn should have equalised in stoppage time, but the result extends Liverpool's unbeaten run in all competitions to seven games, while Francesco Guidolin's Swansea are still without a Premier League victory since the opening day.

West Ham 1-1 Middlesbrough

A brilliant solo goal from Dimitri Payet salvaged a point for West Ham as they and Middlesbrough both ended losing runs with a 1-1 draw.

Cristhian Stuani's header early in the second half (51) put the visitors in front but a wonderful mazy run and finish from Frenchman Payet soon sftare (57) brought the sides level again.

From there, neither side looked like finding a winner, and the ensuing stalemate did little to improve their recent records.

Hull City 0-2 Chelsea

Chelsea stopped the rot after successive Premier League defeats as they ground down Hull at the KCOM Stadium.

The hosts enjoyed the better of a cagey first half but went behind when Willian swept home a curling shot after good work from Diego Costa after the break. Liverpool extended their winning run to

Hull never recovered and could have been further behind but for Pedro's poor finishing from six yards.

Sunderland 1-1 West Brom

Patrick van Aanholt came off the bench to score a late equaliser for Sunderland as they ended a run of three straight defeats - but remained in the Premier League relegation zone - with a draw against West Brom.

Nacer Chadli's third league goal of the season, against the run of play, looked set to inflict a sixth league defeat in seven games on David Moyes' side, who showed spirit to fight back.

Dutch substitute Van Aanholt, usually a left-back but playing higher up the pitch here, started and finished the leveller - his scuffed shot bouncing into the ground and looping beyond Ben Foster.

Defeat would have saddled Moyes' winless team with the record for the worst start to a season in Premier League history and although their prospects remain bleak, this match at least offered the manager hope for the rest of the season.

Watford 2-2 Bournemouth

Isaac Success came off the bench to score Watford's second-half equaliser and his first for the club in a 2-2 draw at home to Bournemouth.

The summer signing from Granada steered a header into the far corner on 65 minutes after fellow second-half substitute Josh King had beaten two players and smashed a low shot home to restore the Cherries' lead.

The visitors had gone ahead during an impressive first-half display when Callum Wilson stole in front of his marker and flicked Junior Stanislas' cross through Heurelho Gomes' clumsy handling (31).

Watford levelled through captain Troy Deeney's 99th goal for the club just after the break, a close-range finish after fine work by Morocco international Amrabat.

Substitute Joshua King restored Bournemouth's lead with a long-range deflected effort 44 seconds after coming on before Success equalised with a header following Jose Holebas' free-kick.

Incredibly, Bournemouth hit the woodwork three times in the second half. Jack Wilshire was twice denied by the post while Stanislas's free-kick rattled the bar late on.

Manchester Utd 1-1 Stoke City

Stoke snatched a point at Manchester United as Joe Allen capitalised on a spill from David de Gea to punish the hosts' lax first-half finishing.

After a string of saves from Lee Grant before the break, United made the breakthrough when substitute Anthony Martial swept home a curling shot.

It appeared to be a fatal blow to a Stoke side who had rarely threatened.

But when De Gea failed to hold Glen Johnson's shot and Jon Walters' follow-up came off the bar, Allen poked in.

Paul Pogba rattled the bar with a header as United mounted a late siege on the Stoke goal, but Mark Hughes' side clung on to the point that takes them off the bottom of the table.

Leicester City 0-0 Southampton

Champions Leicester City's struggles in the Premier League continued as they were held to a draw by Southampton.

The home side almost went behind when Charlie Austin went close with two headers and hit the post with a shot.

Austin was also through on goal in the second half but an ambitious chip was saved by keeper Kasper Schmeichel.

Jamie Vardy had Leicester's best chance after a poor backpass but he was tackled by Oriol Romeu, who also blocked two follow-up shots.

The Foxes have now won only two of their opening seven leagues games, collecting eight points

Tottenham inflicted Pep Guardiola's first defeat at Manchester City as they moved to within one point of the leaders with a scintillating 2-0 victory on Sunday.

Spurs got off to a flying start at White Hart Lane, taking the lead on nine minutes after Aleksandar Kolarov put through his own net before Dele Alli slotted a slick second seven minutes before half-time.

City, who trailed for the first time under Guardiola in the Premier League, rallied after the interval but struggled to replicate the form that had guided them to six top-flight wins from six beforehand.

Things could have been worse for City had Erik Lamela not seen his second-half penalty saved by Claudio Bravo, but in the end it proved inconsequential as Spurs held on to secure their best since 1960/61, asserting their own title credentials as they moved to within a point of the summit and left Guardiola mulling over his first PL defeat.

Burnley FC 0-1 Arsenal

Arsene Wenger started his 21st year as Arsenal manager with a controversial 1-0 victory over Burnley at Turf Moor following a 93rd-minute Laurent Koscielny winner.

Defender Koscielny bundled the ball home at the far post from a corner in the third minute of stoppage time, but it looked like his initial shot, which was directed over the bar, came off his own arm before crossing the line.

Burnley were furious, but referee Craig Pawson allowed the goal, handing Arsenal a vital three points following a stubborn Burnley display.

Arsenal held off a spirited rally from Swansea for their 6^th PL win of the young season to move up level on points with leaders Manchester City, Dele Alli's last minute equaliser saved the blushes for Tottenham as they held on to their unbeaten record against West Ham, and Bournemouth obliterated Hull City by a hefty 6-1 scoreline to hand Mike Phelan a miserable start to life as the Tigers full-time manager.

Also on Saturday, West Ham climbed out of the relegation zone after beating hosts Crystal Palace by a lone goal, and Joe Allen’s brace helped Stoke City to their first PL win of the season, condemning winless Sunderland deeper into the relegation hole.

On Sunday, Jose Holebas’ stunning strike left Middlesbrough still looking for their first home win of the season and Southampton stretched their unbeaten run in all competitions to seven with a comfortable 3-1 trouncing over Burnley. And on Monday Night, Liverpool and Manchester United played to a goalless tie at Anfield.

Chelsea 3-0 Leicester

Chelsea cruised to a 3-0 win over Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday with Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and Victor Moses on target.

Costa volleyed home his seventh league goal of the season after slack Leicester marking at a corner, and Hazard made Chelsea's first-half dominance count at Stamford Bridge with their second on 33 minutes.

The visitors, who were second best in the first half, improved after the break and nearly got back into the match when David Luiz turned a Marc Albrighton cross onto his own post.

But Moses made the game safe for Chelsea in the 80th minute, latching onto Nathaniel Chalobah's back-heel and tucking past Kasper Schmeichel.

Antonio Conte had rubbished speculation over his future at Stamford Bridge after a three-match winless league run in September, and it was a fine performance from his side that will go some way to quietening those rumours further.

Arsenal 3-2 Swansea

Theo Walcott scored twice as 10-man Arsenal won their sixth Premier League game in a row, despite a spirited Swansea City display in Bob Bradley's first match as manager.

Gunners and England forward Walcott now has five goals in eight games, taking advantage of a heavy Jordi Amat touch for his first and a poor Jack Cork header for his second.

The Swans looked dejected after the quick-fire double, though Gylfi Sigurdsson pounced on a Granit Xhaka error to curl in and give them hope before the break.

Mesut Ozil volleyed an Alexis Sanchez cross into the top corner to restore a two-goal lead for the hosts, but substitute Borja tapped in from the impressive Modou Barrow's cross to set up a tense finale.

Bournemouth ran Hull City ragged at the Vitality Stadium, handing Mike Phelan a miserable start to life as the Tigers’ full-time manager.

Goals from Charlie Daniels, Steve Cook and Junior Stanislas saw the home side go in 3-1 up at half-time, with Ryan Mason's deflected shot the only saving grace for Hull.

But the game became even more one-sided after the break as the Cherries turned on the style, picking off their visitors time and again and adding three further goals through Stanislas, Callum Wilson and substitute Dan Gosling.

Manchester City 1-1 Everton

Maarten Stekelenburg saved two penalties for Everton as his side escaped with a point against Manchester City at Etihad Stadium.

Kevin de Bruyne was the first to miss in the opening period, seeing the Dutch goalkeeper push his effort away, and Sergio Aguero saw the same outcome in the second half.

Despite dominating possession, City went behind as Romelu Lukaku opened the scoring with a cool finish.

Nolito headed in for the hosts from David Silva's inch-perfect cross, but De Bruyne had a drive brilliantly saved by Stekelenburg, as City failed to find the winner.

Stoke City 2-0 Sunderland

Joe Allen's scoring streak continued as he grabbed both goals to hand Stoke their first win of the season at the expense of bottom side Sunderland.

The midfielder got his head to Marko Arnautovic's cross from the left to give the Potters an eighth-minute lead before adding a second just before half-time with an 18-yard strike through a crowd of players.

Sunderland keeper Jordan Pickford made a good save to deny Stoke forward Wilfried Bony, who also fired wide with two 18-yard efforts.

The visitors' best effort fell to Jermain Defoe in the first half but his goal bound shot was brilliantly blocked by Ryan Shawcross.

It is worrying times for Sunderland manager David Moyes, whose side have only picked up two points from their first eight games.

West Bromwich 1-1 Tottenham

Dele Alli's equaliser a minute from time ensured Tottenham maintained their unbeaten start to the season and remained within a point of Premier League leaders Manchester City.

Nacer Chadli's late goal for West Brom seemed set to inflict an unlikely first defeat of the season on in-form Spurs.

But Mauricio Pochettino's men fought back as substitute Son Heung-Min and Christian Eriksen combined to create the opportunity for England international Alli to prod the ball home with the outside of his boot.

Crystal Palace 0-1 West Ham

Manuel Lanzini's first-half goal gave 10-man West Ham a much-needed 1-0 win at Crystal Palace on Saturday evening.

Lanzini put West Ham ahead in the first half with a sweeping finish inside the area, before Christian Benteke missed a penalty and hit the post with a header on the stroke of half-time.

Aaron Cresswell was sent off with 15 minutes remaining after picking up two bookings within a minute, but West Ham held on for a vital win.

Sunday

Middlesbrough 0-1 Watford

Jose Holebas' fine strike settled a poor game as Watford's victory left Middlesbrough still looking for a first home win of the Premier League season.

The Greece defender drove past Victor Valdes from 20 yards to provide some inspiration for a forgettable match generally devoid of quality.

Boro - who remain above the bottom three on goal difference only - failed to properly test Hornets goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes at all during the game.

The result moves Watford up to 10th.

 
Southampton 3-1 Burnley FC

Southampton moved to eighth in the Premier League as goals from Charlie Austin and Nathan Redmond punished Burnley's poor second-half defending.

Austin broke the deadlock by poking home at the near post after Virgil van Dijk was allowed to head across the face of the goal from a corner.

Burnley's defence was at fault again as Redmond beat Tom Heaton with a low strike from another corner.

Austin scored from the spot before a Sam Vokes penalty reduced the arrears.

Monday

Liverpool 0-0 Manchester City

Liverpool and Manchester United played out a goalless and uneventful stalemate on a disappointing night at Anfield.

Goalkeeper David de Gea made two fine second-half saves from Emre Can and Philippe Coutinho to deny Liverpool the chance to move joint top of the Premier League.

It was dubbed 'Red Monday', but the game was largely controlled by the away side playing in blue - and they missed a good chance to take all three points when Zlatan Ibrahimovic missed a simple second-half header.

But the draw meant neither side would move up the Premier League table with Liverpool fourth and United down in seventh.
