Defending National Women’s League (NWL) champions, Ampem Darkoa, Ladies will open their title defence with a crunch away match against Ashtown Ladies, while former champions Hasaacas Ladies, also have an opening day date with Samaria Ladies.
NWL Match Day two games came on as scheduled this past weekend with Ampem Darkoa Ladies remaining atop of the Northern Zone log with 6points following an impressive 5-1 thrashing of visiting Ashtown Ladies who dropped to the 4th spot on 3points. Lepo Ladies failed to take advantage of playing at home and were held to a 1:1 draw by Real Upper Ladies.
Match day 10 of the National Women's League (NWL) ended this past weekend with unbeaten Ampem Darkoa getting back to winning ways, Sea Lions taking a stunning hit to their aspirations at home, and bottommost Real Upper Ladies and Holy Royals unable to take advantage of playing at home to make a push at moving out of the cellar.
Match day 11 of the National Women's League (NWL) came on as scheduled this past weekend with Southern Zone leaders – Ampem Darkoa – maintaining their recent winning run with a 5-0 rout of Prisons Ladies on the road. The win, the second for them this half of the season upped their tally to 27 points for the first spot.

The first round of this year’s edition of the National Women’s League will come to an end tomorrow with several exciting matches scheduled for the various league centres.
