    Power Distribution Service (PDS) has denied claims it has failed to pay to Independent Power Producers (IPPs) for power supplied since taking over the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) on March 1 this year.

    The Minister of Energy, Mr John-Peter Amewu, has disputed allegations by a senior Vice-President of IMANI, Mr Kofi Bentil, that Ghana risks suffering a revenue loss of about $4.8 billion if an agreement with Aker Energy is not renegotiated as a matter of urgency.
