Oh, how fast our days run on earth! How soon our Sun goes down on us! Long before we are able to pause and reflect we are no more, gone into eternity!

I was granted access to visit him at the medical ICU in korle-Bu after he had undergone a successful surgery. We were convinced he was out of danger but no!
Indeed we find ourselves in different lanes, different time zones with differences in purpose and mission.

Alhaji was a fearless and vociferous voice in the Ghanaian media space. His probing publications and public discussions cut across political boundaries and sectors of the economy.

Full of conviction and passion the Late Alhaji Bature took no hostages when in full flight. He engaged sparingly in media discussions but when he did,  he had something worth listening to. The media fraternity has lost a gem, Ghana has lost one of the few forward and forthright media guru(s). We will miss your style and the unique focus of your arguments.

We share in these deeply emotional moments and pray for courage and strength to see him through this journey. Our condolences to his immediate family, the NDC family and staff of the Alhaji Newspaper.

May Allah have mercy on his soul and treat him with kindness

Alhaji, Rest In Peace !
