The National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, and Board Chairman of Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Mr. Sammy Awuku, yesterday played host to a section of the female student population of the Accra New-Town Experimental School at a special luncheon.

Mr. Awuku hosted the luncheon for the young female students in honor of International Women's Day which is celebrated worldwide on March 8, 2018.

In a Facebook post, he stated that he educated the girls on what the education sector under the leadership of H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has in store for them.

He added that he gave the young girls a brief talk on how diligent work, dedication, and determination can make them beneficiaries of the President's Free Senior High School Policy as they work towards achieving their educational goals.

He also made it known that the girls excelled in their just-ended terminal exams, and that he was stunned by their keen interest in the national discourse.

He entreated all and sundry to encourage girls to press for progress towards making the world a better place.

In a related development marking the celebration of International Women’s Day, the Second Lady of the Republic, Mrs. Samira Bawumia, hosted Starr FM's Morning ‘Starr Programme’. The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs. Charlotte Osei also hosted Joy FM's Super Morning Show programme.
