The Ghana Premier League will morph into Week 09 this weekend with the match between two of the recently promoted clubs; year one side Karela FC and year two side Elmina Sharks, both of whom hold one of the best record in the league at this point taking center stage.

Klavs Rasmussen, who was appointed Head Coach in November of 2016 guided the Academy Lads to a second place finish last year.

Sharks fans did not attack Referee Liman - Dr Nduom

The President of Elmina Sharks, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom has dismissed media reports alleging that fans of the club launched a missile which struck referee Yakubu Nuhu Liman midway through their Ghana Premier League clash with Medeama SC yesterday at the Nduom Stadium.

According to several reports, officials of Sharks said they would petition the Ghana Football Association (GFA) about the incident.

The Ghana Premier League Match Day 08 midweek clash between Elmina Sharks and Medeama SC at the Nduom Stadium was abandoned yesterday at the halfway mark.
