Coach Frank Nutall, of Ghana Premier League side, Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club, has been suspended by the club’s Board of Directors for unsporting and unethical behavior that are contradictory to the club’s code of conduct.

His suspension, effective 12th of February, 2018, was disclosed in a press release signed by the club’s Communication Manager, Mr. Kwame Opare Addo.

According to the release, the decision was arrived at in an emergency board meeting, at which Coach Nuttall admitted to the behaviors that the Board considers detrimental to the club’s interests.

 A three-man committee, led by Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe (Chairman), Mrs. Ivy Heward-Mills, and Mr. Frank Nwokolo Nelson, was constituted following the meeting, to look into all the issues pertaining to the matter. The committee was tasked to report its findings to the Board by Friday, February 16, 2018.

Multiple unconfirmed rumors have it that he is behind the recent wave of contract rebellion that has hit the club. According to some of these rumors, he has plans of managing some of the players.

For now, Assistant Coach, Henry Lamptey Wellington, has been charged with running the team’s training sessions until further notice.

Coach Frank Nuttal, a former Lecturer at Cardiff University, with stints in various capacities at West Bromwich Albion, Bristol City, and Gor Mahia of Kenya, joined Hearts of Oak SC in February of 2017, and led the team to a respectable third place finish, 9 points behind winners Aduana Stars.

He took over from Coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi, who was fired midway through his first season at the club.
