Michael Ayittey Okine, alias Ayitey Powers says he will be a fool to lose to Bukum Banku for a second consecutive time.

The two controversial boxers are booked for a rematch at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Boxing Day - Saturday 26th December 2015 at 7pm.

Prior to the upcoming bout, Ayittey Powers had lost to Bukom Banku in a fierce bout in 2014.

The bout attracted a huge number of Ghanaians, including distinguished personalities in the country.

Speaking on Kumasi-based Nhyira FM, the boxer vowed to stop his opponent before the eighth round.

“This time, I train very well and I have to beat Bukom Banku… if I lose again then I am a fool,” he said.

He attributes his earlier defeat to several factors. “The first time you know Bukom did not use the right weight, this time, he is fighting in the right weight so I have to win,” he said.

Meanwhile, Ayittey Powers has revealed knowledge of Bukom Banku’s use of ‘juju’ [Black Magic] to win boxing bouts.

"Bukom Banku has been using black magic to beat me but not this time around."

"He confessed to me that he has been using black magic on me and even revealed to me he was going to offer a cow as a sacrifice.

"But I told him he can slaughter 10 cows but to no avail because this time around, I have prepared very well for this."

Powers will be looking to avenge the defeat on December 26.

Aside seeking redemption, Powers will also be looking to drive home the sleek brand new Range Rover offered to the winner in the bout being sponsored by Joy Dadi Bitters.
