Chief Executive Officer of AshantiGold Kudjoe Fianoo has announced his intention to contest the chairmanship position of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA).
Fianoo, a former administrative secretary of the association, has decided to put in his bid when nominations are opened in March.
During his time the welfare body for the clubs in the country organized the Top 4 tournament which brought in a lot of cash.
Fianooo said: "The once excellent reputation of GHALCA has been mowed to the ground with accusations of corruption among some members and the time has come to reverse things and return GHALCA to its glory days."
His contenders are likely to be current chairman Alhaji Ali Raji, Oduro Sarfo and Kofi Poku.
