The GN Bank sponsored Division One league will enter week 12 this weekend with some very thrilling lineups across the various zones. In Zone one, Mighty Royals and Bofoakwa Tano will clash for the top spot with FC Tanga and RTU eying the lead from outside, Elmina Sharks will take on the Western Show Boys – Eleven Wise – for the chance to maintain their 2point gap at the top and Gt. Olympics will take on bottommost King Solomon in a tricky road duel for the chance to keep their grip on the summit, with 2points back Okwawu, Planners and Lions looking to capitalize on any misstep.

In Zone One, leaders Bofoakwa Tano will be hard-pressed to win on the road as they take on dethroned leaders - Mighty Royals - at the Wamanafo Community Park in the topmost encounter of the match day with the latter looking to rebound at home for the top spot. A fairly tall order for the visitors, good thing is Mighty Royals are not invincible at home where they have lost just once, in week 2 against Berekum Arsenal. Will not be a bad idea for Bofoakwa’s Boss, Can Vanli to see Arsenal for their playbook if he wants the win this tough and scrappy looking matchup. Two points behind the summit - FC Tanga - will be salivating all over the chance to take over the summit for the first time this season but they will have to do it on the road where they are yet to win this season against mid-tablers Wa Rockets who have lost once at home this season, way back in week 6, and can boost their chances of moving up on the log with a home win. Two points of the summit RTU will also have a shot at the top spot if events at the top unfolds their way but they will first have to dispatch lowly Liberty Babies in a very winnable game at home.

Fifth placed B. A. United will attempt to get their campaign in the right direction again but they will have to do it on the road against 10th placed Berekum Arsenal who are coming off a road and in search of the upward swing, sixth placed Berlin FC with their 19points can continue their unsteady ascension towards the top with a home win over visiting Bawku Utd and Guan FC will have the chance to build on their 2 game win thus far with a home victory over bottom feeders, Tamale Utrecht.

Elsewhere, Mpuasuman will be in the hunt for their third win of the season at home against Steadfast FC and Unity FC will take on Bolga Stars at home.

In Zone two, undefeated Elmina Sharks will return to the friendly confines of their home turf after dodging a road bullet at Samartex FC that could have ended their unbeaten run to take on none-other than the Western Show Boys who may have lost some of their shine from the ‘old days’ but will definitely put their best boots forward and live up to the hype. A must-win game for the Sharks who got a bail-out from Lady Luck this midweek. Second placed Bibiani Gold Stars will seek to dull the pain of their midweek sinking at Dunkwa (a 2-0 loss to Dunkwa Utd) as they welcome Giant Killers Samartex FC who choked on the chance to drop the Sharks to their turf in a very winnable game against their guests whose best on the road have been ties.

Karela FC’s five game unbeaten run has seen them improve to 4th on the log on 18points and they will have the chance to improve upon that tally at home with a victory over visiting Tarkwa Utd, Asokwa Deportivo have seen their hot start go a little cold with a series of road losses and ties which has eventually led to them trailing off the lead by a huge 7points, but they can keep it that way for now with a road win over Nzema Kotoko and Wassaman Utd will also have the chance to improve upon their lot with a home over Dunkwa Utd.

Elsewhere on the weekend, one time proud tier one team, Kumasi Cornerstone, will take on Starke FC on the road, Venomous Vipers should have more than enough venom to dispatch visiting Achiken and King Faisal should be able to improve on their circumstances with a home win over Proud Utd.

Preseason favorites – Gt. Olympics’ - hold on the top spot will be put the test on the road as they make the trip to Kwahu Praso to take on lowly King Solomon in a tricky duel with the Dade Boys seeking a 4th straight win and King Solomon just their third win of the season as they seek to shake off their ‘cellar dwellers’ status. Their host’s major win thus far has been a lone goal victory over a credible Okwawu Utd side and that should be a good enough warning for Olympics. Okyeman Planners will return to the comfortable confines of their home turf following a moral boosting road victory over Vision FC with an eye on the top spot as they host Mighty Jets in a very winnable game. Heart of Lions will pit their bid as contenders against Tema Youth’s quest to rebound from their midweek defeat as they play as guests of the latter.

Fourth placed hitherto table toppers – Okwawu Utd. will have to go through Pure Joy on the road and come out victorious if they want to stay real close in the hunt for the top spot, Roberto FC will return to their home turf – the Sogakope Stadium - in search of some redemption or relieve from their current free-fall – a record 5game losing streak at the expense of Vision FC who are coming off a home loss and will look to pick up all three points to add to Roberto FC’s woe.

Elsewhere in the zone, Nania FC will be at home to Kotoku Royals, Danbort will welcome Amidaus to Nungua and Istanbul will take on SP Mirren.
