Berekum Arsenals hope of annexing this year’s GN Bank Division One zone one league title has been jolted for the second time in less than two weeks.

The second ruling against the title hopefuls comes on the heels of the decision of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) General Regulations and the Division One League Special Regulations committee to award the three points and three goals in their Week 24 match against Bofoakwa Tano played at the Golden City Park in Berekum to the former following B. Arsenals failing/refusal to pay fines imposed before the fourteen (14) day deadline in contravention of Articles 39(8)(b) and 39(1)(b) of the General Regulations of the GFA as at the date of playing the Match Day 24 match against the Petitioner (Bofoakwa Tano) on Saturday, August 6, 2016. B. Arsenal won the match by 2 goals to nothing.

As a result of the ruling, Bofoakwa leapfrogged to the second spot on the Division One Zone one log on 45points whilst B. Arsenals dropped to the 6th spot.

A judgement based on similar grounds was recently dealt to Berekum Arsenals.
