GN Bank Division One – Week 24 - Zone 3 matches will come at the various venues with zone 3 still in catchup mode as zone 1 and 2 enters Week 26 this weekend.

The road to tier one soccer from zone 3 has been more competitive than many anticipated with debut side Okyeman Planners pushing the envelope in what many expected to be a neck to neck raise between Gt. Olympics and fellow PL returnees - Heart of Lions. Instead, it has for the greater part of the second round being a two way race between Gt. Olympics and Planners with Lions crashing the party recently to make it a three way race but falling behind after back to back losses, but they will have the chance to maintain the pressure as well as their third spot this weekend as they play host to Kotoku Royals on their favorite Kpando turf. The Royals edged Lions by a lone goal in the reverse encounter and it looks like they will be on the receiving end this time.

In the topmost encounter of the day – a second straight back to back top three encounter within 2 weeks – talented Okyeman Planners will welcome table toppers Gt. Olympics to Old Tafo with the chance to reclaim the top spot with a win. The two sides played to an exciting one all tie in the first round and by all indications this match will also go down to the wire with Planners having a slight advantage by virtue of playing at home where they’ve gone down just once. An exciting match await the fans with both sides looking for the win to keep their quest of winning the division on course. And Okwawu United with a game in hand against Roberto FC will attempt to wash their week 22 humiliating 5 to nothing loss at Tema Youth out of their mouths as guests of a Vision FC side that is also looking to get back into the winning column.

Sixth place Tema Youth will welcome Sporting Mirren to Tema with the chance to up their tally and continue their push for a top four spot and Danbort FC will attempt to add to the woes of their hosts – Pure Joy who have the first safe spot on the survival end of things.

Elsewhere on the day, relegation threatened Nania FC will host Istanbul with the chance to boost their survival hopes, bottom club King Solomon will welcome Mighty Jets with the chance to attempt to reverse what looks certain relegation, and bottommost Roberto FC will attempt to avoid their fifth straight loss of the second round in what looks like a lost cause, hopefully they will play for the win and pride.
