Following the recent dissolution of the Board tasked with running the affairs Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club at the end of their three year mandate, the Life Patron and owner of the team – His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on Saturday appointed Dr. Kwame Kyei, Group Chief Executive Officer of Unity Group to constitute a new administration to run the affairs of the club.His appointment was made public in a press statement released by Mr. Kofi Badu, Chief of Staff at the Manhyia Palace.
Dr. Kwame Kyei’s mandate according to the press statement on his appointment includes reshaping the club’s administrative structure and infusing professionalism and competence into all facets of the club’s operation.
Dr. Kwame Kyei who hails from the royal house of Agona Wiamoase is a respected and well-known entrepreneur with interests in the petroleum and gas industry as well as the media and hospitality industries.
